Paint in the Dark for Halloween-Varies

If you are looking for something unconventional to do this Halloween, black-light painting at the paint shop Pinot’s Palette is offering glow-in-the-dark painting for the month of October. By combining black lights and special paint, the paint shop is bringing the environment to life— they even encourage painters to wear white and neon to become a part of the art. Kick around some glow-in-the-dark balloons to get into the holiday spirit while you paint.

Take in this cult theatrical experience at the OB Playhouse this Halloween. Located eight minutes from campus, the theater is offering performances through October 31 at 8:00 p.m. Thursday–Saturday and at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Sundays. Additionally, the theater’s Halloween night performance at 8:00 p.m. will include a costume contest for a chance to win a season pass subscription to the theater. Audiences are encouraged to participate in and bring props to the show.

Hear stage performances of Edgar Allen Poe’s writing by a cast of different performers this Saturday, October 27 and Sunday, October 28 at 7:00 p.m. Located in the Historic 1850’s Adobe Chapel inside the Whaley House Museum in Old Town, the eerie feel of the surroundings will make Poe come alive.
6th Annual Howl-O-Ween Mutt Crawl 5K-$40

Prizes will be awarded for the best-dressed dog, making this event a fun time even if you are not racing.

This iconic San Diego floating museum has a haunted past, and the ship is open for visitors to learn about that history aboard the ship. On Saturday, October 27, the ship will be providing lantern-led tours of the boat every 15 minutes to learn about the eerie history of the ship.
