Five Pumpkin Patches to Visit Before Spooky Season Ends

The start of fall means cozy sweaters, the leaves changing colors, spooky movie nights and, of course, pumpkin patches. There are different options of pumpkin patches in San Diego that are all perfect ways to get into the season’s spirit and also include their own fall activities. Here are five different pumpkin patches to check out before the spooky season ends:

Goff Family Pumpkin Patch at Liberty Station

The Goff Family Pumpkin Patch has free admission and is open till Oct. 31. There are over 10 thousand pumpkins to choose from. They also have lawn games to play and beer on tap each Friday and Saturday it’s open. They are open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Mountain Valley Ranch Pumpkin Patch

The Mountain Valley Ranch Pumpkin Patch is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily with free admission located in Ramona, CA. This patch includes a corn maze, antique farm equipment to take pictures around, a petting zoo with different farm animals and a large assortment of pumpkins to choose from open until Oct. 31.

Carlsbad Strawberry Company

The Carlsbad Strawberry Company’s pumpkin patch costs $10 per person to enter; however, children under 5 years old get in for free. This pumpkin patch is open until Nov. 5, where there are games and food along with giant pumpkins, tractor rides, petting zoos, a corn maze and a marigold field of flowers to walk through. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is located in Carlsbad, CA. 

Family Christmas Tree Farm Pumpkin Patch

The entry fee for the Family Christmas Tree Farm Pumpkin Patch is $5 – $7 and they are open from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays in El Cajon, CA. They have a huge hay maze scavenger hunt, tractor rides, a farm animal area and they offer fresh apple cider and beverages from Julian, CA, as well as scented fall candles to purchase.

Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns Pumpkins

Mr. Jack O’ Lanterns Pumpkins have different locations all around southern California, the closest to us being on Mission Boulevard. They are open until Oct. 31, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Fridays, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. They have a wide variety of games and activities to play, and the cost depends on the games you participate in. They also have the option to decorate pumpkins at their patch, and they do online orders and deliveries on their pumpkins for customers to order on their website.
