Editor in Chief
Sydney Brammer is a fourth-year multimedia journalism major. She previously served as The Point’s features editor and spent last summer interning at Hawaii News Now through the Dow Jones News Fund. She has also interned at Times of San Diego and her hometown newspaper, The Sun-Gazette. She’s earned several awards from the Society of Professional Journalists for her investigative reporting. She plans to pursue investigative journalism for a local outlet when she graduates, as she believes in the power of local and accountable journalism and how crucial it is for communities.


Copy Editor
Milla Kuiper is a fourth-year writing major. This is her second year as the co-editor in chief of the Driftwood Creative Arts Journal, and she is a peer reviewer for Whale Road Review and a first reader for A Year in Ink. She plans to teach English as a second language in Spain when she graduates, and write novels and travel in her spare time. She spends most of her free time engaging in every random art form you’ve seen on Pinterest, listening to audiobooks and talking until the wee hours of the morning.
News Editor
Ava Bailey-Klugh is a fourth-year multimedia journalism major. After graduation, she plans to do more internships and hopefully end up doing social media or communications for a nonprofit organization. She has had internships involving social media and communications for an LGBTQ center in Northern California, social media and PR for a marketing company in San Diego and is now doing social media, marketing and copy writing for hotels in San Diego. She won second place for fiction writing in the Driftwood last year. Her hobbies are playing volleyball, going for sunset drives and spending time with her two dogs at the dog park.


Features Editor
Liv Roberts is a fourth-year multimedia journalism major with a marketing minor. After graduation, she hopes to blend journalism and marketing to copy write for a lifestyle brand. She thinks that in whatever field she goes into, it’s important to be a good writer and know how to convey a message in a way that audiences will best understand it.
Sports Editor
Cade Michaelson is a fourth-year multimedia journalism major with a media communication minor. He hopes to find a career in sports media. He is interested in sports writing, whether it is covering a team or writing in-depth analysis pieces.


Arts & Culture Editor
Adee Tulcan is a third-year biology major with a data analytics minor. She has been a writer for The Point for the past two years while also conducting research in the fields of cellular biology and orthopedics, with publications in the peer-reviewed journal Spine. She has also presented her research at academic conferences, including the Annual Orthopaedic Conference at Loma Linda University and the West Coast Biological Sciences Undergraduate Research Conference at Cal State University San Marcos. Combining her passion for science and storytelling, she enjoys exploring the intersections of culture, art and science in her editorial work. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in medicine while maintaining her passion for the music industry.

Joy Russell is a fourth-year media communication major.
Layout Editor
Hailey Snyder is a third-year graphic design interactive web major. Over the summer, she spent time with her family in Florida, and they went on boat trips to various spots around the island she lives on. She loves reading and playing video games in her off time. Her plans after graduation are to become a graphic designer for a video game company, hoping to use her faith and creativity in that field.


Social Media Manager
Mackenzie Lackey is a third-year media communication major with a public relations minor. She hopes to pursue a career in social media management after graduation, with interests in sports media and public relations.
