I think the biggest thing I learned from studying abroad is that community is a beautiful thing and that the human experience is universal, and feelings and experiences transcend language and regional barriers and I met so many wonderful, amazing people that impacted my life, and I cherish those friendships.

I learned that the world is much more connected than we think, and love and companionship can be found in even the most foreign places.

I am grateful every day for things like electricity and heat and clean water. I miss Nepal constantly, but I love knowing that I have family and friends and community in another country, and that experience has given me a deeper love for people and culture and for all of our unique differences.
