PLNU Basketball faces off against Hawai‘i Pacific University

Point Loma Nazarene University’s men’s basketball team faced off against Hawai‘i Pacific University on Thursday, Feb. 26, at Golden Gymnasium. The Sea Lions battled through a high-scoring contest but saw their eight-game winning streak come to an end with an 91–84 loss to the visiting Sharks.

Individually, Jaden Matingou posted a career-high 27 points, leading the Sea Lions with efficient scoring and effort on both ends of the floor. Caden Harris added 22 points, including multiple three-pointers that kept PLNU close in the second half. 

Holding the No. 1 seed in the PacWest Championships, the Sea Lions continued to display balanced offense and resilience in front of the home crowd despite the loss.
